What is Tarot?
Tarot is a tool of divination used to pinpoint where a person is currently at in their journey (refer to Fool’s Journey), and potential resolutions to overcome any obstacles standing in the way of progressing further along in said journey.
A typical tarot deck consists of 78 cards (22 Major arcana, 56 minor arcana). The minor arcana are the day to day aspects of life that we work through in order to elevate (i.e. – Prioritizing, how we spend our money, the type of work we do, etc.) The major arcana are the cards I refer to as the heavy lifting. They are more deeply rooted to our psyche, and illustrate more karmic processes we must undergo (i.e. Releasing toxic patterns & behavior that create suffering in our lives, healing our brokenness, Trusting the power within, etc.).
Tarot can be used as a tool for fortune telling as a potential outcome of one’s past and current energy, but because one’s energy can change at any given moment nothing that comes up is set in stone. A person can walk away from a reading with altered action, thus changing the course of action for their future.
